 Regulations of CCIC Shenzhen Co., Ltd. on the "business of return for appraisal":

    As required by Shenzhen Customs, the appraisal of the cargo "returned for maintenance" have been conducted by Shenzhen Commodity Inspection Corporation (now named CCIC Shenzhen Co., Ltd.) from June 15, 1999 according to the provisions of SJ (1999) No. 69 Document issued by Shenzhen Import Export Commodity Inspection Bureau (now named Shenzhen Administration for Entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau).

Meaning of "return for maintenance":
    "Return for maintenance" means the goods (materials, equipments and instruments) imported for three types of processing plus compensation trades, processing with materials supplied by customers and general trade need to be returned overseas for maintenance or replacement due to the failure of their quality, specification, etc. to meet the requirements of actual production or use.
Significance of "return for maintenance":
    The appraisal of the goods returned for maintenance is conducted according to the entrustment of Shenzhen Customs. The purpose is to assist the customs in strengthening the supervision of returned goods and cracking down on smuggling activities.

Handling of "return for maintenance":
    1. Application: Relevant enterprises or trading party get Application for Appraisal of Returned Goods by Shenzhen CIS (Refer to Schedule 1) from our office, fill in the form and provide the following documents:
    A. The original import declaration of returned goods (The original to be checked and the copy to be retained);
    B. Customs processing record contract or tax levy / exemption certification (The original to be checked and the copy to be retained);
    C. Completed Application for Appraisal of Returned Goods by Shenzhen CIS;
    D. The application report in which the applicant states the reasons and basis for return;
    E. The written certification documents between the buyer and the seller including return agreement / maintenance agreement / warranty agreement;
    F. Other necessary documents required by commodity inspection personnel.
    2. Appraisal: We will arrange personnel to conduct relevant on-site inspection and appraisal within 2 working days after accepting application.
    3. Certificate issue: We cooperate with relevant department of Inspection & Quarantine Bureau in issuing Entrusted Inspection and Appraisal Report (Refer to Schedule 2).
    4. Charge collection: Pursuant to relevant regulations.
